Health Insurance.Upon your visit to the urgent care, claims will be submitted to your insurance company by us. After 2-4 weeks, your insurance company will pay us for their portion or will issue a rejection of there is a problem with your insurance. You will receive a bill from us for the balance remaining, if there is one. You will have 30 days to pay this balance. If it goes beyond the 60 day past due mark, your balance due will be submitted to a collection agency.

What is deductible?
A deductible is an amount of money that an insured person pays out of pocket before the insurance company becomes responsible for any benefit payment.
What is the difference in a co-pay and co-insurance?
Co-insurance is the portion of costs that are shared between the insured and insurer.
It is common for an insurance company to pay 80% with the insured being responsible for the remaining 20%
Co-pay is a predetermined amount of money that the insured pays out for certain service. For example, if you have a $20 co-pay on doctor’s visits,
you would pay the doctor $20 for every visit and the insurance would pay the rest of the doctor’s fee for that visit.
Special services, like an x-rays and lab work, may have a co-insurance or deductible in addition to the co-pay due for the office visit.
Be sure you understand your responsibilities under the plan before you go to the doctor. This will eliminate any ‘surprise’ costs.
Do not hesitate to pick up the phone and call the number on your insurance ID card for assistant in understanding any part of your policy you do not understand.
Call your insurer if you get a bill, a referral, an explanation of benefits form or other document you do not understand.
